Blogosaur Meetings – Friday

Hey gang, you may be aware that we have weekly Blogosaur Meetings on Fridays to discuss Blog related issues and to talk to dinos about how to become a Blogosaur. Well, we are going to continue to do this and have Blogosaur Meetings every Friday. This week we will be having both normal Blogosaur meetings. This week we’ll be continuing to talk about Earth Day, how Blogosaurs will spread the message AND what you can do to help the Earth!

Weekly Environmental Fact – EARTH DAY!!!

Hey gang, Weekly Environmental Fact time! Today we are focused on Earth Day because it is this Friday. As you know we’ll be celebrating Earth Day on Webosaurs Island and talking about all the great ways you can get involved wherever you are and help this planet that we all call home. Earth Day was started by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson in 1970 in the United States and went international in 1990. It is now celebrated in more than 175 countries every year. A lot of those countries celebrate for an entire week! Also, a couple of years ago the United Nations designated April 22 as International Mother Earth Day, so don’t even think about harming the Earth this Friday!

One of the big problems with Earth Day is that a lot of us are only good to Mother Earth during this week or only on this one day. The purpose of Earth Day is to spread the knowledge and information about how to best care for the Earth and to encourage others to do so! Earth Day was celebrated by an amazing 20 million people in its very first year and is now celebrated by more than 500 million each year. I think Earth Day is a wonderful concept, but even if it was Earth Day every single day we’d still be fighting an uphill battle. What do you think about Earth Day? Weekend Parties – Saturday and Sunday

Hey gang, it’s PARTY time and we’ve got some awesome parties going on this weekend so GET READY! This Friay is Earth Day and to celebrate we are going to have an Earth Day Party this Saturday at 12:00 WST. Just like last year, everyone that comes will receive a special Earth Day Tree to plant in their caves, Moon and I will be hanging out in the Forest Floor and away giving coin codes to dinos that tell stories about what they’ve done for Earth Day this year. Examples could include anything you’ve done at school to celebrate Earth Day, things you’ve done on your own to help the planet or even something you are planning on doing to keep this beautiful place we live nice and green. Come armed with stories to share!

On Sunday we’re having a really different kind of party, BUNNYSAURUS will be making his first official trip to the Island and he has some fun in store for everyone! Bunnysaurus will be releasing his very own wacky version of a Scavenger Egg Hunt that will lead dinos to the secret party location. This hunt shouldn’t be that difficult, but you won’t be able to get the party’s special item or figure out where we are all hanging out until you finish the Egg Hunt. Bunnysaurus is a hilarious dude and he really likes to play games like findmeh and likes to have food fights. Don’t miss him! The Egg Hunt will be released at 14:00 WST sharp and then we’ll be partying with Bunnysaurus!
